Create a promotional poster for showings of the musical, “Chicago”.

One of the less commonly recognized themes in “Chicago” is the expression of contrast between the powerful and the powerless. The marionette hanging from the city skyline is symbolic of two things: the lack of control the clients have over their situations, and the contrast between big and small, the people who hold the power, and the individual. The black gradient represents the way the city pays
close attention to the string of murders, as it draws attention to the marionette. This poster would be suitable for promoting local theater events at venues such as the Des Moines Playhouse.
