Mosaic Haven is a company that provides after-hours services to people who have autism and their families. The goal was to create a gender-neutral logo that communicated security, love, light and compassion without including elements that may be overstimulating for someone with autism.

My first intention was to steer clear of any visual representation of autism that currently exists, as the client felt that those visuals send the wrong message about people with autism. The word "mosaic" inspired the rays of tile-like squares, arranged in the shape of a heart. This is suggestive of each person as a unique individual who is also apart of a greater community.  The client was very pleased with the result and expressed that the logo effectively communicated their identity.
